FICCI-CMSME Portal “CONNECT”

All India Online Directory of MSMEs with B2B Facility – 2020-21 Introduction:

MSME Sector has been the driving force of country’s growth over the years and FICCI has been working towards encouraging and promoting MSMEs. When Covid overwhelmed the global economy, economic wheel of almost every country came to a halt. It is the MSME sector which has been hit worst due to corona driven lockdown. Social Distancing has changed the business dynamics completely and it has become new normal to live with the virus as COVID is not going away any sooner. In the attempt to learn new basics, virtual contact has emerged as significant phenomena. Keeping this in view, FICCI-CMSME, the MSME arm of FICCI has envisaged to create an online portal for connecting MSMEs including members (FICCI, CMSME & FLO) with each other as per their preference & requirement.

Objective:

The portal aims to become a preferable B2B destination for both buyers & sellers. The objective of the portal is following:
  • To connect MSMEs including members of FICCI, FICCI-CMSME and FLO with each other as per their business needs and requirements.
  • To enable listed & non-listed companies to post their buying or selling queries on the portal to create business opportunities for companies
  • The portal also aims to become a major source of detailed information of listed companies for visitors including PSUs, large corporate etc.
Services:

  • The portal has a facility where listed companies and even visitor can post their B2B queries (buying & selling) for listed companies.
  • These queries shall be shared with listed enterprises post approval from the FICCI-CMSME.
  • The portal will have a facility where FICCI-CMSME would post various public procurement opportunities with PSUs and other business opportunities, which can be seen by listed companies.
Portal Interfaces:

  • Individual Interface
The portal will have a log-in interface where sign in and log-in both can be done by listed companies & aspiring listed companies respectively. Their profiles could be edited/completed by them later with the approval from administrator (secretariat). As per their selected plan, they can upload their logo and company brochure.

  • Public Interface
The portal will have another interface for viewing details of other listed companies, where every visitor can see the details of listed companies. For contact details visitor needs to complete a brief registration. Visitors would be allowed to view only five contact details. However, the listed companies do not have to register every time for this facility, and they would have unlimited access to contact details of all listed companies.

The public interface would have the list of registered companies with the portal. The list can be sorted by location and sector. The user can also search a company by putting-in the name of company in the search box.

  • B2B Queries
On the public interface of the portal, there would be an option to post B2B queries where the visitor or listed companies would be asked to select if the query is for buying or selling. A brief contact details would also be asked from visitors. The query would be directed to administrator and if approved, it would be sent to target listed companies. A visitor can only post three queries whereas a listed company can post as many queries as they may want.

  • Renewal & Termination
The validity at the portal is for one year from the time of listing. 15 days prior to end of term, an email shall be sent to companies for renewal. If not honoured within stipulated timeframe, their details shall be removed after approval from administrator.

For members of FICCI, FICCI-CMSME and FLO, the validity is subject to their membership validity. If they their membership is not continued, their details shall also be removed after approval from administrator.
